I don't have a public library to use for studying, and I absolutely hate studying at my house because I get nothing done.

Any suggestions for where I should study?

Any suggestions for where I should study?

friends house? outside?

i like to study outside on our patio. Then again, i live inflorida and it's usually really nice out.

I know you said you don't like studying at your house, but perhaps this could be remedied by making your own little time-slot to put all distracting things away (TV, et cetera) to study.

If that won't work, maybe a park with some tables? The hot spot for studying in my town is Barnes and Noble or other major book retailers. Starbucks and other coffeehouses are also popular.

Your school library, outside, or underwater

Underwater @.@ I go to my school's absolute quiet room.

I'm a big fan of starbucks when I need to get a lot of work done

I like studying outside. Especially in the mornings when only runners/dog walkers are out. XD

I'm also a fan of club offices at school, even though they're generally the size of a broom closet.

Yeah try a local coffee shop (not starbucks... sorry we have issues) but not a bustling one or else you'll get nothing done.

I live in the central US, and the weather is horrifying. It's either scortching hot or colder than the last level of hell. In other words, you either catch a cold or get sunburned.
My house is too distracting for me as well (plus my two year old brother has no sense of privacy), and school is even worse. I can't focus even if I tried.

So! My solution would be lock oneself in the restroom. I usually sit in the bathtub with a blanket. Heck, it's comfy and quiet.

Haha, ivychan, you are not alone with the bathroom studying! There are no distractions there.

I live in Arkansas and it's usually too humid to sit outside for prolonged periods of time.

Well, I live in Colorado and staying outside for too long would get you a good red tan or a nosebleed. Neither are very attractive options... :)

But other from places, sometimes I just go to bed super early (like 9:00pm) and wake up at 2:00 or 3:00 am. NO one is awake at that time, and plus by the time you arrive at school, you'll already be awake. That's what I've gotten, at least...

I love studing on th roof of my house when it is nice out but a friends house is good too.

STARBUCKS!! I work there on weekends!

Yay for bathroom studying! I like to read in their too. No one bothers you (for obvious reasons). I have fallen asleep in their occasionally though, and waking up in a bathroom is just no fun. It's relatively warm in my bedroom too, so it's great for reading/studying. I also like going out on my roof or to a park. Outside at night is just wonderful, when it's not hot, of course. The cold is fine with me, as long as I have a pair or two of socks on.

I sometimes just go to my local university and study in the library there. Universities have pretty good libraries, just make sure you are allowed to use them [I was a student there for several summer sessions so I'm permitted to use the facilities]

I took an SAT course at Kaplan, and they let me use their facilities to study. The rooms are dead empty half of the time and they are very good with air conditioning.

I also like Cafes, I don't like Starbucks, but Panera bread is a nice place to work. Just be sure to buy something while there and eat and drink slowly.

Coffee shops and bookstores.

Are you people deaf? How could you possibly concentrate in Starbucks? With the incessant noise of orders and discussions about religion and politics, its impossible to study there... The best place for evident reasons are the bathroom, and the study cubicles.

For me, I can't study when it's completely silent.
