A Great Novel for the CR Section

I'm currently reading Catch-22 by Joseph Heller, and I think it's perfect for those looking to boost their CR scores by reading actual books.

I never payed much attention to the vocabulary in the books I read, because I've always been an avid reader and I'm not easily swayed by the use of "big" words. However, this has changed when I started studying for the SAT.

For anyone seeking to improve their vocabulary skills, I highly suggest reading Catch-22. Never before have I seen such a dense amount of SAT vocabulary in a single book. Often, I'm able to pick out as many as 4-5 SAT words in a single paragraph. Though slow to start and very weird at points, the novel is a good read, and it's written in such a way that you find yourself learning the definitions of new words with or without looking them up.

Thanks for sharing that! ill be be sure to look into it.

Another book thats good for CR practice is Origins of species by charles darwin. I only read 1/2 of the book because it was so excruciatingly painful to read. If you can finish the book with a good understanding of what each chapter is about, your pretty much set.

=O im too lazy to read books =p scarlet letter also contains some good sat words

I still highly recommend the Bourne series by Robert Ludlum.

And they're nothing at all like the movies.

"You're" .
10char

Thanks for the tip! I've been planning to read that anyway, maybe I should start now :P

I also recommend uncle tom's cabin. there at least a couple sat level words every chapter like alacrity or jocular.
