Ok, so you have a 1380/1960 with a 3.79 gpa. Very Respectable!
Write a great essay! :)

UCB ---reach
UCLA---slight reach
UCSD---in! :)
UCD----in! :)
UCSC-----so in! :)
Good luck!
chance me back! thanks!

^I agree with everything above except UCLA reach and UCSD slight reach.
GPA is still lower than the averages for SD, B, and LA. (I'm in the same situation).
SAT reasoning is also slightly lower than the average for SD (1950) and lower than the averages for B and LA (2000-2050).

The subject tests are also really low, considering you want to apply as a bio major, hopefully they come back both 700+.

UCB, UCLA- reach (could be possible with a really great essay and if you applying for a nonimpacted major)

UCSD- slight reach (GPA and SAT lower than their avgs- maybe consider the ACT?)

UCD-match

UCSC- in

We have really similar stats! And I'm applying to all these schools as well. Anyway good luck! I hope we both get in. :).

I really do not want to take the ACT, or any form of testing anymore. My brain is fried.

why you all gotta hate on me.

Okay, a quick lesson for everybody on how to compute a UC GPA and on how to compute a UC SAT.

(1) The UCs only count classes taken during the sophomore and junior years (for determining the UC GPA) when you apply as a senior.
(2) You can only add in an additional maximum of 8 extra grade points when computing the UC GPA--1 for each honors semester up to the 8 maximum.
(3) PE courses and health courses don't count, nor do teachers' helper, nor student government courses
(4) The UCs only count the best single sitting SAT score. You cannot "superscore" by taking the best score you got in each section and combining them.

Based upon this, your UC GPA is 3.808, and your UC SAT score is 1900, and your best SAT II scores (only two count) are 710 and 610.

Based upon this and your ECs (your extracurriculars), your "chances" are:
UCB ---Reach (no chance)
UCLA---Reach (no chance)
UCSD---Slight Reach (slight chance, probable rejection)
UCD----Match (expect an acceptance)
UCSC-----Safe Match (definitely an acceptance)

Good luck.

my UC GPA isnt that High
I wish it was though.
some weird thing
I went to the counselors and did it straight from how the UC System does it.
3.79

Well, the difference between my computed 3.81 and your school's computed 3.79 isn't much anyway--and wouldn't change any of the "chances" I gave you at any of your schools.

Your school may be adding in and weighting all the pluses and minuses after each grade (like A- versus A, B+ versus B, etc.). I just rounded each of these to the grade itself (made the A- an A, the B+ a B, etc.) and then did the computation--that's probably the difference. I do it my way since it takes way too long to do it the other way when you are trying to do a lot of "chances" threads at one time--and, as noted, the differences, will be extremely tiny between the two different methods, anyway.
