A guy's chances at Sarah Lawrence College

Hey, I'm a male senior from upsate NY and I'm apply to SLC for ED. I noticed that SLC is like 73% female, so I was wondering if that makes a diff.
Do I have a good shot at it with these stats? (remember SLC doesn't require SATs and the ACT):

GPA:90 (3.5) unweighted
I had an interview that I believe went very well.
Honors Classes: English (10,11), History (10), French (10)
AP classes: Music Thoery (11), US History (11) (didn't take the tests)
College Credits: 6 at Syracuse Univeristy
High honor role or honor role every semester.

Extras: MUN (9,10,11,12: president in 11,12 and VP in 10), Mentoring program (10,11,12), Key club (12), Senate (9,10,11,12), Jazz ensemble (10,11,12), Jazz combo (11,12), pep band (9,10,11,12), pit orchestra (9,10,11,12), volunteering, various academic and service awards, etc.

Very nice essays and superb recomendations.

I don't know enough about SL to say whether or not you have a chance, but I've been looking at SL lately and I'm seriously considering it. I didn't know that they don't require SAT or ACT scores...I also find it interesting that they give evaluations instead of grades. Er, sorry for such a nonhelpful post - I'll shut up now.

You already have a good shot but being male increases your chances a lot. SLC does have more females and that means that they probably want to balance out the student body, so being male is a definite plus.

glad to hear from another potenial SLCer. yea, i love it, i really hope i get in. thanks kross. everyone keeps telling me that the being male thing will help, but i never thought that it (unlike race, location, etc.) could possibly be used.

Have you looked into Hartwick? I've heard they have a very solid ED program, with enthusiastic professors. With your academic record, they would very likely offer you some decent merit $$. It's in upstate NY of course, and since you're from there...you might want a change, but you should take a good look at it. As far as SLC goes, i think you probably have a good chance...especially since you are a guy.

SLC seeking different,passion,and artistic person.
SLC,specially school ,actually on ED,they did receive 200+ app and 89 got admission. The mean they only grant 20 males.
You can make you essay better,Show your fervor to SLC.

you have a really good shot at SLC, solid match
