Im a Korean that lived in the U.S.A. for eight years. I moved back to Korea just five months ago. I am currently a ninth grader but I need help. I have heard that UCLA does not accept many international students. I am currently going to a school in Korea that has American teachers and teaches with Californian standards. My strengths are that I am fluent in both English and Korean. Speaking and all. I have a perfect American accent and perfect Korean accent due to speaking Korean at home. I have no other strengths that I can think of. I know this isnt much information but if any UCLA students used to be in my sort of situation or are international students, or if anyone has any tips, please help me.

They accept international students but only if they can pay full freight or are recruited athletes. Also, please get some extracurricular activities on top of a rigorous courseload.

Also, for ECs, you might want two or three ECs to which you show lots of dedication.

well… im no athlete but if i pay the full tuition them im good?its that simple?

You’re held to the same academic standards as the in-staters, though. This means you’d want a 4.2-4.4 UCGPA (in your case this means getting As on 8 AP/IB courses) and score 2100+ on the SAT or 31+ on the ACT on top of what I said.

Oh these are no problem. So there is nothing different between in staters and international students except for the fee?

Not anymore.

thanks for your help. i really appreciate it. (:
