A Hockey Player from Cornell

I was just watching the World Junior Hockey Championships on TV and there was a defenseman on Team Canada that is at Cornell now.

Anybody know Sasha Pokulok?

This guy -> http://cornellbigred.collegesports.com/sports/m-hockey/mtt/pokulok_sasha00.html

He became the first Cornell player ever taken in the first round of the 2005 NHL Entry Draft when he was selected with the 14th overall pick by the Washington Capitals.

cornell hockey rox! yeah! woohoo! thats right you better believe it, we DOMINATE

harvard sux at hockey am i rite?

I'm suprised he is the first Cornell player taken in the first round. I thought there would have been more...

i must confess im from Buffalo, NY home of the Sabres and I have never been to a hockey game. I hope to redeem myself when i go to Cornell and go to the hockey games, I'm really excited because when i visited Cornell in the fall everybody was pumped for hockey. It would be a mortal sin if I or everyone else didn't check out a game

I'm from Pittsburgh... I would go to a Pens game, but we just lose anyway... Or we are up for the first two periods, then we lose... same thing with the Pirates... lol...

well Cornell destroys Harvard at hockey if that's what you are talking about

Yeah, but you get to see Crosby, the rookie phenom! It'd be worth it just to see Crosby and Lemieux

... i need to read up on hockey lol, then ill destroy my friends in fantasy NHL

Yeh, the Kid is our star player, but there are what 5 other people on the ice and well you do the math lol... and Mario is always getting hurt lol...

Gonchar, Tarnstrom, Malone, Recchi, LeClair, Palffy are pretty solid players too.

I think their problem is their lack of chemistry and their goaltending (or lack thereof).

Thibault is absolutely terrible. Fleury is awesome, but he's still too young.

Harvard definetly doesn't suck at hockey, but Cornell usually generates better NHL players. i.e. Joe Neuendyck

yeah! Harvard doesnt have Neuendyck! (is it pronounced nooendyke or nooendick?)

its nooendyke

dyke as in dike right?

yep...i hate how i need at least 10 characters

lol yah when i have that problem i just put (blahblah)

Joe Nieuwendyk is awesome. He plays for the Florida Panthers now but he's injured right now.

Is it hard to get tickets to hockey? Can I get them in advance or only by waiting on line the day of the game? What about season tickets - are they hard to get? Is there a waiting list?

don't bust on ma fleury, if he had one solid defensemen and i don't mean ryan whitney or gonchar or 'tricky dick' he'd be an all star this year, he has 4 40+ save performances that he lost by 1 goal
