A hopeful Junior (UPenn, NYU, ...)

Junior year started a few months ago for me, and I've been thinking about colleges. I really would like to aim high. I know I haven't found a cure for cancer, nor have I started a worldwide peace campaign, but I'm hoping I will have at least a very small shot at the Ivies.

Here are the colleges I'm somewhat thinking about:
UPenn (tied for first choice)
Yale (tied for first choice)
NYU (I really feel like this college would be perfect for me. Would die to go here!)
UC Berkeley
UC Santa Barbara

My stats:

Scores/Numbers:
Unweighted GPA: 4.14
Ranking: Don’t know, but definitely in the top 10%
School: Small, private school in Alabama, pretty good and competitive, but rarely any Ivy Leaguers (nearly everybody goes to either Alabama or Auburn)
PSAT: 64 Cr, 80 M, 66 W (210 composite)
PLAN: 27 E, 30 M, 28 R, 28 S (28 composite)
I think my SAT’s will be better because I’ve improved a lot in Critical Reading and Writing since I last took the PSAT’s, and I’ve gotten higher scores in said areas in practice tests (mid 700s). I haven’t taken the ACT’s yet. I'm going to take the SAT II's at the end of the school year, and I think I can get above 700 on Math II, French, Chinese, and above 600 on Chemistry and History

Classes:
Freshman: Choir, Health and Human Performance, H French II, Biology, English 9, H Algebra II (sophomore class), World History I (I’m taking all the honors possible)
Sophomore: AP Statistics (5) (not allowed to take APs sophomore year, I was an exception. I was also the only one in the class to get a 5), Choir, Theatre II, H Chemistry, French III (honors could not fit into my schedule), World History II, English 10 (again, as many honors as possible)
Junior: AP English, APUSH, AP Chemistry, H French IV, Theatre III, Choir, Precalculus (honors would not fit into my schedule)
Senior (plan on taking): AP Econ, AP French, AP English, AP Calculus BC, Choir, Theatre IV
I would be overloading all 4 years and taking as many H’s and AP’s as possible.

EC’s:
Choir: Alto section leader Sophomore and Junior year (probably again Senior year), All-State, Madison County Honor choir, Alabama Honor Choir
Varsity swimming: Team captain Freshman year (we didn’t end up having team captains Sophomore or Junior Year)
Theatre: 2 1st places at Alabama State Thespians Festival Sophomore year, will go to many more competitions, participated in every school show (either cast or tech, including originating a role in a world premiere play)
French: French club President Junior year, French representative for the International Club
Youth Leadership Council: I was on the Presentation Team
Piano: Outstanding at AMTA in 2012, Outstanding and Honorable Mention at AMTA in 2013, accompanied at choir concerts
Figure Skating (quit before high school), multiple gold medals, including 2 Basic Series medals out of the entire state of Ohio

Volunteer/Work:
Downtown Rescue Mission Thrift Store: over 40 hours
CASA Community Garden: over 30 hours
Total: Almost 100 hours (I will probably have over 100 by the end of the year)*
Internship at my Aunt’s financial firm in Beijing
Office Management Internship at DoSomething.org in New York City
*I know I have to volunteer more!! I’ll be doing a lot of small things like blood drives, tutoring, etc. along with the garden and thrift store.

Awards:
National Honor Society, French Honor Society, Mu Alpha Theta, many local French awards, many class awards (best student in each course)

There are a ton of awards given out at my school, so I thought it'd be needless to mention all of them.

Thank you so so much for taking the time to chance moi!!!!!

(Also, I don't know if this would help or hurt my personal essay(s)/interview, but I have a pretty bubbly personality; this does not mean I am immature, it simply means that I do not succumb to the drab customs of society!)

Oh, also, I’m a Female Asian! I know that may be detrimental regarding test scores, but I don’t know many Asians who are active in Choir/Theatre…
