a HS in VA

I'm a sophomore at a high school in VA
More specifically, Fairfax County

In Fairfax country,
A= 94-100
B+= 90-93
B= 84-89
and so on
I got a B+s in all my core subjects this year
Will this hurt me when applying to colleges?
Johns Hopkins, MIT, an Ivy possibly.

Thanks

Hey I'm from RVa, and I have the same scale.

I asked some students at Harvard about this, and they said they would count a B+ on our scale as an A (or an A-, I suppose).

I haven't asked admissions anywhere, though, to confirm this, but most are pretty certain that they count them as A's...

It's a sucky scale! Some other scales give A+'s for a 97! (ours is 99 or 100)

(At the same time, universities like those will WANT to see grades above a 94... so make sure you strive for that your junior year - which is your crucial year...)
