Hi, I'm going to apply to this school and I was wondering if you could chance me.

I got a 2000 on the SAT, a 710 in both writing and critical reading and a 580 in math. However, UMD doesn't take into account writing so this puts me at a 1290/1600, about 90 lower than the average for the engineering school (1380). The lowest 25% average is a 1320.

Now, I know that this is not a great score for math, but I don't seem to be able to improve it much. I do have a pretty good weighted GPA though, currently a 4.55, whereas the average for the engineering school is around 4.2-ish.
Is there any chance of my GPA balancing out my bad SAT score? Or my extracurriculars (President of German club, member of 3 honors societies, also MESA and Student government)? Or is there a cutoff for SAT scores that they don't accept below?

Thanks in advance.
