A junior with alot of issues

Hi, I'm pretty clueless lol. Can you guys please chance me on University of Maryland College Park and Penn State Univ Park. Stats:
3.3 UW/3.8 W (upward trend, with a 2.9 in Freshmen year, which is regarded as the easiest year)
SAT-760 Math-640 Reading-700 Writing
EC's- pretty bad
Rigor- 7 AP Classes by end of high school as well as many many honors, basically highest rigor available

Also, I'm in state for Maryland, and ED'ing to both schools. Now for the clueless part-
How many schools should I ED to? If I get rejected to both, what should I do lol? Deadline is Nov 1st, when should I have everything ready? (teacher rec's essays, etc)

Thanks alot if you help answer some of my questions <3

You can’t apply ED to more than one school.
But with that SAT you’ll have a good chance at those schools

You can only apply ED to one school, as an offer of admission from that school would require you to enroll. You can apply early action at multiple schools.

If I were you I would work on that list and find some other schools that interest you, possibly making some visits between now and next summer. How many schools you ultimately apply to depends on what your chances look like at each. Generally, I would recommend a minimum of five, including at least one school you like where you are likely to be admitted and can afford.

For a November 1 deadline, generally you should ask teachers at the end of this school year so you have an idea of who will be writing your recs. Then check in with them again at the beginning of senior year. Work on your essay(s) over the summer and have a teacher or other qualified adult look it over when you get back to school.

eding to more is illegal

You should have a good chance for UMD if you’re in state. My brother was accepted there on scores much lower than yours, about the same GPA and only 4 APs.
