a juniors housing dilemma

Im going to be a junior this fall,
and i still havent decided as to where im going to live
first year i lived in de neve, im gonna be honest i hated it when i was there,
only because i felt so segregated from the outside world, and not having a car to get me to places.
but looking back yes 1st year was definitely one of the best years of my life
i think i was just going with the trend of hating on dorms like all my friends did
anyway for 2nd year i did apply for dorms, but i missed the initial payment, yeah stupid me
and i ended up commuting 2nd year. and still am, for summer sessions. i dont think i could do this anymore tho
so for 3rd year my options would be : apartment, co op, or dorms(if i can still apply that is)
i really dont have anyone to live with, and ill probably starve myself to death if i were to live alone so apartment is a bit iffy
co op, while great on price and location, seems to have a reputation of having an unsanitary environment.
dorms, which is exactly where i want to live, are quiet expensive, especially when its myself pulling all these loans out to cover for the costs...
i dont mind it though really dorms have a lot to offer and is convenient, but being a 3rd year im not sure if ill be able to fit in again and if anything i would love to have a single dorm... though i hear its almost impossible unless you can prove that you are under certain conditions that could hinder proper living with roommates

so yeah thats basically whats going through my mind and i honestly dont know what to do
im sure at least some of you guys have gone through what im going through so can anyone guide me with some advice :(?

Seriously? The time to be making housing arrangements was months ago. On-campus is out of the question as the deadline was in April. Even if you were planning on living off-campus you should have been asking your friends if they wanted to room with you.

Just go with a coop if you’re on a budget.

okie i guess im screwed huh
has anyone tried filing an application for ucla housing this late?
i really want the university apartments but im assuming they’re already filled up…
but is there like any chance at all of getting ANYTHING at this time?

University apartments filled up the first day of housing sign-ups. I would say if there is a < .1% chance of getting a university apartment now.

You’ve gotta go off campus or commute now. Sorry :/

you can try to get on lottery housing… it isn’t guaranteed and you won’t know until sept… But i am sure there are a lot of people who declined their housing offer… (I did…) But yes I found my place in Westwood a month or two ago so yes you may be a lil late… good luck!

It’s never too late. Last year I submitted a housing app in August and got an on-campus (not apartments) housing offer.
