A Late Applicant's Puzzlement

I submitted late applications to many schools (which included some ivy league, similarly top-tiered schools) and have since received confirmation e-mails from some of them, along with id codes and the like. Additionally, common app has cited all of my late applications to universities/colleges as having been downloaded. While I understand the amount of irresponsibility that late applications convey, I still would like to beg that cc users answer my question: do downloaded applications/confirmation e-mails confirm that applications, regardless of a "late" status," have been put into their applicant pool for consideration? Furthermore, are applications downloaded by the university's system automatically, meaning download date/time stamps have no bearing on whether or not the application has been accepted for their consideration? If any more specific information is needed to adequately answer my question(s), I would be more than grateful enough to answer them. Thank you for your time.

The answer to your question is likely yes. If the university’s accepted them, they are likely considering your application. I don’t know if you were a few days late or a few hours late, so perhaps as they sort through things they may weigh negatively on an application that was a few days late, but there is nothing you can do now, and don’t draw attention to it for now.

Just curious, why did you submit them late?

Thank you for your response. For one school, I did end up submitting a few days late and for the rest, a couple of minutes to a few hours. I honestly hope that regardless at least some of them will be accepted, as you indicate it to be a possibility. Just to clarify, however, by “if the university’s accepted them,” you do mean to ask if the university has downloaded/given me confirmation e-mails, correct?
To answer your question, a rather… emotional matter did not let me to sufficiently adhere to my self-assigned schedule over break in regard to college applications. I regret not having finished them before break commenced and accept the possible consequences of my tardiness. Once again, thank you.
