a legitimate concern - should i retake?

<p>So I'm a junior who just took the December SAT. I got my scores today and they were..</p>

<p>M - 800
W - 760 (9)
CR - 690</p>

<p>Total: 2250</p>

<p>I'm planning on applying to HYPMS (just an idea of the level...). My question is whether or not that critical reading score will hurt me (and whether or not I should retake). I got a 240 on the PSAT so I know I'm capable of doing well, it's just that the vocabulary on that test killed me for some reason, but...I don't want to have to worry about SATs anymore..</p>
