Your story is exemplar for “specialty” fields. It doesn’t apply to a “well-rounded” student who hopes to major in economics.
I’m sure you’ll do great at Penn State - a great fit :slight_smile: Keep your thread alive and let us know how things go, so that parents with artsy kids know how things go for them once they hit college: will you do better because you have more classes to choose from an you can select what will ‘fit’ you better? Will your less-than-perfect study habits catch up with you? Will being surrounded by like-minded students buoy you?..

@woogzmama, not to get off topic but wondering what bfa theater program your son left and why? Also was Rutgers ever a consideration? asking as a NJ resident w/ interested D in theater, thanks
