<p>Thanks for the post. I was admitted yesterday Stanford SCEA. If I'm in any position to do so, I would like to stress what I realized yesterday: It's not all about me, or you. I got lucky; I have no problem saying that. I prayed, and I'm sure that helped. I worked hard, and I'm sure that helped. But sometimes, it just doesn't work out. Sometimes it does.</p>
<p>I would say that for those accepted to Yale SCEA, before posting that you've been accepted, say something supportive and constructive to those who have not. I did that for my friends, and even those on CC. No one except my best friend and my family knows that I've been accepted, and it's been a great thing, in my opinion. Why? I can focus on others instead of myself.</p>
<p>I cant agree more with Baelor. I too was accepted SCEA to Stanford. It was a combination of URM status and random chance. Whatever happens with all of you Yale hopefuls, be humble and be supportive no matter what. Almost everyone in this thread could go to yale(or Stanford for that matter) and succeed. Its just not possible to have that happen unfortunately.</p>
