A level grades or As level grades

Hello evry1,
I am a bit confused if we can apply with our As level grades only i.e first year A level grades and predicted grades of A2. Does that affect our acceptance to colleges and scholarship chances or not .

I’m doing quite a lot of research on this at the moment. It varies depending on the college in question. Some (not many) accept predicted A level grades, so you’d have to decide where you wanted to apply and then look at their web site or give them a call. (American college admissions staff are very helpful).
One thing to bear in mind is that American colleges typically start in August; some quite early in the month too. Given that the summer A level results don’t come out till mid-August, this could cause a problem.
If most of your chosen colleges only accept actual A level grades, you will probably have to take a year or a semester off. Don’t forget that many colleges have a second (smaller) intake in the New Year.
(I’m using the term “college” here to cover colleges and universities.)
