<p>Hi I just joined cc and I have a question for people who might know about applying with A-levels</p>
<p>I am applying to Brown with A-levels, but I am considering dropping A2 Further Maths to AS Further Maths. Right now I do A2 Psychology, A2 History, A2 Maths and A2 Further Maths. If I do drop A2 Further Maths, do you think I’d need to tell Brown and do you think by dropping Further Maths, I’d really weaken my application?</p>
<p>I take A level too but from Singapore. I guess yours is British one. I took Math, Further Math, Physics, Chemistry, Math Special Paper, Chemistry Special Paper and General Paper... haha...
I think you should tell them cuz they will eventually find out. If they find out and they think you are trying to cheat them by not informing them, they will kick you a**. If you tell them with good reason, I think they may say it's ok.

<p>That's correct. I talked to Brown yesterday and they said all of the decisions have been made.</p>
<p>I guess, but do they check your A-level results in Aug?? Beacuse I remeber one or two of my applications asking me when my results would be out</p>
<p>testdasi : Yup I take British A-levels. How are you finding Further Maths?? I decided not to take the Special papers/AEA, because my teachers told me no one really cares and its just the board's way of making more money</p>
<p>I don't like Math. I have to take Further Math because you don't have much options in Singapore. You can choose Economic,Computing,Biology instead of Further Math. Among all of those, I choose Further Math cuz it's pretty challenging and better than memorizing words like Econs... :D</p>

<p>But not if you really like the subject and want to study it in a "beyond-the curriculum" way. I loved my S Lit and Geog classes. </p>

<p>In my school, econs S is crappy. Lessons aren't even worth attending and you're better off studying on your own.</p>

<p>i'm doin law n econ, yet wanna apply to IR at uni this yr, not sure whther these subs r relevant? well, thinkin of droppin' either stat or maths to take history for my AS when i'm in A2.. reallie appreciate all of ur suggestion =)</p>

<p>Eh nope.. I'm not from RJ, and yes I am from S'pore, and I've just been rejected by Brown. Oh well, but fortunately (or unfortunately) due to NS, I have a chance to reapply for next year, which I will do so and I will ED Brown.</p>
