A little advice, thanks

I am in Calc BC, but my grade is taking a bad turn; do you think I should drop to AB? How much would it affect my admission chances? do they look at my first semester senior grades to evaluate my admission ?

bump, any help?

It would only affect your chances to the extent that if you got in and then your senior year grades were bad enough to violate the provisional admission contract (UW 3.0 over the year, no more than 2 Cs...I think). Senior year grades don't go into the app from what I remember...

so dropping to AB would not hurt my chances?

Um...I don't really know if dropping to AB will hurt your chances, but you DO put what classes you are taking senior year on your app, so they will see what kind of courseload you have senior year.

It will not hurt your chances unless you fail. If you are really struggling (under C) then drop the class. You will have to retake 31B (if science major) anyways in this situation.

Thank you Boeltor for you reply.
