Hey! Thanks for chancing me earlier, so here are my opinions:

I think the bio and math satii scores are a bit low. You also should have taken math II.

I love your EC’s! Amazing interning at the hospital!

I am not sure if you can send 3 (I only sent 2). If two is the case, then I would recommend the Pre-calc and English teachers - those two are core subjects, while history is not. That is, unless you took English Honors in 9th grade, in which case send the APUSH recommendation instead.

If I was you, I would retake the SAT Bio test (given your background, I’d estimate around a week of studying for a 700+, hopefully 800). I realize that you believe adcoms will realize that you have improved, but you really don’t want to take any chances. Adcoms are willing to ding you on the smallest details because of the overabundance of qualified applicants.

Also, how much money does your grandfather donate?

Ok I’ll have to really think about retaking it now - seems like to it may worth it.

Can a 3rd recommendation letter be sent by mail to colleges if a spot isn’t available on the Common App? Would it just **** some people off in admissions?

And I don’t ask for exact figures but I believe its somewhere near $100,000 in recent years, but he has been donating for decades.

The published papers are definitely a big plus. Awesome job regarding that. As for the rest of your application they are pretty par with the rest of the outstanding applications to the other schools. Again it would be essays that come in here as a differentiating factor. My best wishes to you.

I don’t think the money should be the main discussion of this whole process. It’s impossible to tell whether it will actually make a difference at all, but I can only hope.
