So my question is if i want to apply to schools like USC, Carnegie Mellon, Michigan - Anne Arbor, and more - what can i do to make myself a more attractive candidate? I know my Math SAT I grade is pretty abysmal and I am taking tutoring for that section alone and I am fairly confident I can get my writing and critical reading up to 700s each - but what else? What kind of college would want me? I just need to go into "serious mode" and really step up my game, but I need to know where and how.

Thanks for any help you guys can give!
