Alrighty, so it says on their website that "Students apply to one of four undergraduate schools within the University", which are the College, School of Foreign Service, Nursing School, and the Business School.

This makes me a little sad (and frustrated) because I SWEAR I read somewhere that one can apply to both the College AND the SFS.

Could someone please clear this up for me? How does Georgetown admission work? I know that SFS acceptances are lower than the College, so I'm hoping that in the event of being rejected from the SFS I could still maybe get into the College.

Sorry if this is a really dumb question, but I'd appreciate any help here! Thank you in advance!!

Yea same. Although i dont see why you could not fill out one application and check the sfs box and fill out a second one separately and check the college box.

No. You can only apply to ONE of the four schools within Georgetown. I am 100% sure.

It's the same for everyone.

Call up Georgetown admissions and they will say the same thing.

The acceptance rates for all four schools are generally the same and evenly spread out. Georgetown is tough to get into, in general. If you get rejected from SFS, you get rejected from Georgetown. Just like if you applied to Wharton at Penn, you don't apply to the other schools -- if you get rejected from Wharton, you get rejected from Penn. No second shot at the College.
