i've been getting a lot of NYU mailings....cards, little pamphlets/leaflets and such....does this most probably mean I'm in.....otherwise why would they waste time and postage????

i havent gotten anything, and i know im in cuz i got an invite to saturday at the square

what kind of information is in the mailings? the last thing i got from nyu (besides my invite) was the parent newsletter thing they sent out in like february. thats strange...

oh awesome...only accepteds get invited to saturday at the square?
sure about that?

99% sure at this point.

The only thing I got was a Summer in NYU 2006 postcard.

yeah....i didn't even get that (the postcard). I haven't heard anything from NYU since my GSP letter...I'm starting to feel like I imagined it all....

Anyone else get an email today? It was about my "NYU Program" I put down French as a potential major, and got this today:

I especially love the last paragraph, I havent gotten my 'official' letter in the mail yet, but I mean.. c'mon... they hint at your admittance so frequently, its almost annoying.

I received a letter today about financial aid information, for the incoming class of 2010!!!....but I didnt get anything official. What does this mean? And it was signed by some lady from the Enrollment Management Office. This is wayyyyyyy to shady....any input?????

i mean scholarship information..

I havent gotten like, any mail besides the Parent News a few weeks ago. I'm prolly not gonna get in as it was like a huge reach for me. Oh well, I'm going to UMichigan- Ann Arbor anyways...

damn...HauckT. I wished we switched...I got into NYU but my dream school was UMich. lol

i got the email and financial letter too!!! i was kind of shocked because I wasn't expecting it but yay.

I called the office and the lady told me that the letter doesnt indicate whether you're in or not, I tried to be persistent but she was getting really annoyed with me. So who knows, its about the National Merit Scholarships...which i know theres no way I could win (PSATS were way too low)....but then you think, why would they bother with these types of letters if you're just going to be rejected next week

I've received several pamphlets and post cards about various programs, but nothing official.

And yes-- Saturday/Sunday at the Square is only for admitted students representing the top top top of thier field of study.

i got the same email with you anna_b from the math department
this is a good sign i guess(:

I got the e-mail too...it must be specialized to your major because mine was signed by someone from the IR program.

I just got one too..chemistry department :)...this must be good

I got an email from CAS too, and that CAS reception thing.

Hints are nice, least I know I'm in. :)

Hmm.. well, as I put "undecided" as my major, I'm not really expecting an e-mail like that...

Haha I love how they copy and paste the same email and just change who it is from. Mine was from the IR guy.
