A lot of top colleges dont have business schools

I’ve been looking @ a lot of colleges such as Brown and they don’t have a business school and majors such as finance. What do people at these schools usually study if they want to go into finance when they graduate? The only major that seems close enough to me is economics…

uh, econ. That's why many top schools have hordes of econ graduates, most people don't study it for the pure enjoyment of the subject

econ or COE or psychology

got that right...econ is boring!!!! (so far) thank God for the open curriculum at some schools.

Yea thats why Im doing IR...some econ, some poli sci, can still go into business...good stuff

or (and i'm being honest) if you REALLY want business, go to wharton, it's by far the best

most of the reason many top schools don't have undergrad business majors is because "business" isn't taken seriously as an academic discipline. most successful entrepreneurs study other things (not just econ) so that they have specific skills and knowledge to bring to bear on business. business is more of an extracurricular at ivies (minus upenn) through EP clubs and individual initiatives.
