A low P.E. Grade

In my freshman year of highschool for my first semester I took p.e. and received a C. I just wanted to know if that would badly hurt my chances of getting into a good college such as John Hopkins, Cornell, or Tufts. I dont plan on getting any more bad grades like this in academic or non-academic subjects in the future. Any help would be appreciated.

Acumen

It certainly won’t help you, but a bad grade in an insignificant class in an insignificant year of high school won’t really hurt you at all.

And also, that was the one grade that brought my gpa down. Will my official gpa include the grade from this class?

I don’t know about JHU, Cornell, or Tufts, but the UCs won’t even crunch PE grades into your GPA.

That’s how insignificant the grade is.

Those colleges do not consider PE for admission. They only consider grades in college prep courses – English, language, social studies, lab science and math – and ignore such things as PE, health, and vocational classes. Almost all colleges ignore PE.
