So A&M gives auto admission if you are in the top 25% of your school. But what if my school doesn't rank past the top 10% due to some uninformed, misguided idea that it will help kids get into college if the colleges can't see their rank.
So my question is, am I disqualified from auto admission at A&M? And if I wanted to apply to UT who regards class rank highly, would it also hurt my chances significantly?

Somewhere on your transcript, it should say you are ranked X out of the total number of students in your class. Through some basic division, you should know where you stand in regards to class rank.

Example: You are ranked 50 out of 300 students. You want to find out if you are in the top 25%. Divide 300 by 4, and you’ll get 75. If you are ranked between 1-75, then you are in the top 25%.

^ The poster said that the school does not rank so there is nothing on the transcript that says the poster is ranked X out of the total number of students in the posters class. That’s what “the school does not rank” means.

A&M’s auto admit (or at least it was last year) is top 25% plus a 1300 CR+M. Do you meet the second measure?
