A&M business honors vs. UT regular business school?

McCombs no question. Price difference?

I got a small scholarship at A&M for a year, so it’s about a $25,000 over 4 years. Price doesn’t really matter to me though. Did you go to McCombs/why do you say McCombs?

TAMU Honors. McCombs might be ranked higher, but Mays is still up there. In addition the Honors program would make you stand out from the pack. Couple that with the Aggie network, which is right up there with UT in the state of Texas. Basically, the selling point for me would be Mays + Honors Program designation vs McCombs Biz school on its own.

If you’re going for national jobs (NYC, Bos, SF), McCombs will serve you better than TAMU. Bottom line is people know that UT has a top 5-7 undergrad biz program. Will there be situations where a standout at TAMU will be more competitive than a regular McCombs student? Yeah sure, but we’re talking about general trends here.

If you are aiming for Texas jobs, that will be up to local preference of the people hiring you.
