<p>I think you have a fairly good chance at getting in, even though your class rank may hurt you. Put a lot of effort into your essays though and you should do fine.</p>
<p>No, top 10% rule means she won't get in automatically. The majority of A&M's incoming freshman class is that automatic top 10%. That original poster is around the 21st percentile. But it never hurts to raise your test scores either.</p>
<p>True...TAMU has auto admit rules for rank/scores as well as top 10%. The top 10% auto admit is forced by law, the rank/score auto admit is voluntary. </p>
<p>Also, TAMU has successfully held its auto-admit rate for top 10% to no more than 50% of the incoming class since the 10% law was passed.</p>
<p>Wow that's interesting. I applied to A&M as a safety, but under the top 10% rule. I never knew that they had the auto-admit option for rank/test scores. Very interesting though.</p>
