Im interested in both A&M and Virginia Tech for ocean engineering and have been accepted to both, but I'm not sure which one to choose. They both seem like sick schools but if anyone has any input on the two programs that would be awesome.

both are great
i prefer TAMU

I came from Jersey and got into both schools and ended up going to VT and have never regretted it. It's been an amazing experience and has helped me land a co-op with a very coveted engineering company and pretty much a surefire job when I graduate. The campus and surroundings are beautiful and the professors are great.

NO WAY! I'm from Texas and I would definately pick VT over A&M. Virginia Tech has a beautiful campus (prettier than A&M I think) and the academics are more or less on par with one another. VT also doesn't have the "Aggie cult" which I'm starting to dislike.

I think VT would be better for a more rounded college experience. Since you're from New Jersey I'd imagine you would like VT better than A&M anyway. I'm from Texas and the Aggie crowd takes a bit of getting used to. You might not even be able to get used to it.

hi-power,
what don't you like about the "Aggie Cult" ?
