1) The track is made up of a rectangle (300*115) with a semicircle on each end. To the nearest foot, what is the perimeter of the track?

<p>The two straight sections are 300 + 300 = 600. The two semicircles are each 0.5(2πr), or 57.5*π (because 115 is the diameter). So you get 600 + 180.5 + 180.5 = 961.</p>
<p>technically there are two answers to this question because the question never stated at which ends the semicircles were located…</p>
