a memoir for the essay section?

<p>Is a memoir accepted as essay? I have written it independently, though now I feel it will be perect for the first prompt which asks for 'a significant personal exprience you have faced and its impact on you.'</p>

<p>I am good writer, but I feel this one still needs a lot of work. I would love some criticism. Also if someone could suggest an alternate title...</p>
