A music major who wants to become a JD/MD

I am a freshman in college, thinking about what I want to do, and although I plan to be a lawyer regardless of what I do, I've also been thinking lately of medical school. Any thoughts on how to shape my four years for acceptance either into a JD/MD program or an MD program followed by residency and JD? I am majoring in music theory and composition.

I attend CUNY Honors College at Hunter College in New York.

Quite an ambitious career plan you got there. You could go for an JD/MD program, but in my opinion it's just so unecessary because there's no real job that would utilize both degrees fully. And medical school, residency, then law school would mean that someone would be into at least their late thirties, maybe even early forties and in huge debt by the time they are finished with it all.

Umm....medical lawyers.....

Yes, but the majority of medical lawyers don't have an MD, do they? They can know enough about medicine without an MD, and they sure as heck don't need to go thru medical school and residency to be a good medical lawyer.

md/jd is useless. Pick either one or the other.

Agree, your feet are in too many places with an MD/JD.

wat is a md/jd?

jd is for law
