Oh, you're a girl? I didn't know that. What house are you in?

Yes, I would recommend that all guys come back for rush. Girls it's very different (but if they didn't want to go to actually rush, they could still go to the guy's parties)

Yea, I'm Spanks, I no longer have the password to my other name so I made a new one, because cc has addictive qualities similar to crack. I suppose crack might be a slightly less embarrassing habit, however.

I'm in AXO.

It's definitely totally different for guys.

gregunit: not too hot of a jazz scene, but jazz quartets play sundays at appel during brunch, and we did get branford marsalis quartet downtown last fall.

Yes, lincoln hall has drumsets, there is probably a practice room fee.

Orientation was sick. Just a lot of settling in, meeting people, parties, gorge jumping, and celebrating newfound freedom.

if you wanna see some nice Jazz, check out concerts at Ithaca College. They have a great music program and they give quite a bit of concerts. Other than that, there's usually a few concerts on the weekends, just depends what you're looking for. Soulive usually comes once or twice a year and they're awesome live.

The fraternities are competing for all the rushers, so they really spend a lot and go all out to make it a great week and make you come to their houses so you will meet the brothers and hopefully pick their frat. of course not every frat is for every person and not every person is for every frat, so not every frat will want you, but there will likely be some that do and others don't. and it's not like there are some people that every single frat wants or anything like that either.

It's basically a week of house tours, parties, conversation, fun events, and upperclassmen being really nice to you.
