did anyone get a note from lehigh commenting on the application?

yes, I got an email from my admissions officer--she said she enjoyed reading my essay and it made her laugh. I guess that's good because it was intended to be funny in some spots. She then wrote another paragraph addressing something I had written in my essay. Nice to know someone actually read it!

So when do you get a decision? Do u know?

i'm from ny and did not receive any sort of comments...do you think this is a bad sign??

i don't think its a bad thing. i know many people that applied to lehigh from my school and they got no note. my cousin goes to lehigh and he never got a note either.

Torbalds, it's not necessarily a bad sign. Those who received notes may be stand-out applicants from their region. I think such comments are rare.

My daughter got in (though she decided to attend another college), and she never received any advance notice -- other than having a lively on-campus interview.

Hey I also got a letter from the application office that they really enjoyed reading my essay. Is this a likely letter?

Last year my daughter received an e-mail from an admissions officer who said she liked her essay. She was later admitted with a generous merit scholarship.

I got one of those letters too where the writer made specific comments about my essay. I'd really like to send a thank you e-mail in return, but the signature at the end did not include any contact info.

Do you have any idea how I can find his e-mail (Barrett E. Frankel)?

If the letter writer were receptive to receiving email from you s/he would likely have included an email address.

Just go to Lehigh's website and do a people search. I'm sure the admissions staff has their emails posted on their site.

when did you guys get the letters? i didnt get one. maybe this means that they just havent read my app yet?? or maybe it just sucks haha

No note for me either :(

the people who got letters what part of the United States are you from?

Admission Officers usually are designated to a specific region of the U.S. So maybe one certain officer sends out the letters to prospectives. If this is the case, those who have not received a letter, don't worry.

I'm from NY

S got a note the beginning of January - from the NJ admissions rep. It was handwritten and referred to part of his essay

I got a letter today telling me reasons I should choose Lehigh and thanking me for my application. It was addressed to me specifically and told me that they know I have lots of choices but they're proud of what they can offer me, and all about the great things they have there. Was this a mass-mailing or more than that? seems like a waste of paper for something they'd send out to someone who they wouldn't admit.

scwebby....i got something like that too. i would rather get a likely letter but it can't be bad news......

I also got a letter from the dean today. It is definitely not a likely letter but I guess it is better than nothing.

Did anyone get an invitation to a Diversity Life Weekend?
