A One-Man Ivy League

A ONE-MAN IVY LEAGUE - New York Post

he’s a failure

denied by MIT

^^ lol yeah ok

He did not apply to Brown, so that means he did not get in, which means that he did not make it into all the ivy league schools, which all mean that is a failure at life.

And his mom thinks he’ll change the world someday. Wow, talking about putting your kid on the pedestal for great spectacular failure. My parents entrusted me to do all their taxes a few years back and they never think I’m that special.

At least no MIT >:D

Wow a prestige whore…how uncommon

that will hopefully be me..

umm … why so much hating on this thread? At least ArtOfMind_21 expressed an honest reaction. I say congratulations to the kid, amazing achievement.

yeah, but I really want to achieve something amazing like that kid. Wow, he seriously just blew me out of the water…

Neva giv up!! Neva!!

Never gonna give you up, never gonna let you down, never gonna run around and desert you…

At least MIT knows what’s going on.

We’re no strangers to love
You know the rules and so do I
A full commitment what I’m thinking of
You wouldn’t get this from any other guy

I just wanna tell you how I’m feeling
Gotta make you understand

Never gonna give you up
Never gonna let you down
Never gonna run around and desert you
Never gonna make you cry
Never gonna say goodbye
Never gonna tell a lie and hurt you

We’ve know each other for so long
Your hearts been aching
But you’re too shy to say it
Inside we both know whats been going on
We know the game and were gonna play it

And if you ask me how I’m feeling
Don’t tell me you’re too blind to see

The article is rather… uninformed at parts, like:

(yes, it was his GPA that got him in, of course)

(I daresay the majority of applicants to all these universities are like that, so that really isn’t unique to him)

He is one of many students to be accepted to the Ivies, etc.–it’s just that not all those students applied to 18 colleges. =p

I wonder when gawker will turn vitriolic like they did to Esther Mobley.

I lol’d at this. What exactly did she do to warrant such a low blow?
Come from a wealthy background?

See I read this article, and my response was very different. I kind of scorned college acceptances getting into the news, even as a respresentative article, but I seriously felt for the kid. If you read the last paragraph and think about his family.. it really makes for a touching story how he moved here several years ago with his family and how his father gave up his job to move them here. That kind of thing touches me. Getting into all those schools? There’s more students like him.

Absolutely fantastic kid.

i think his is really a 4.36 although i can’t be sure…division and guesswork ftw

oh yes saw this on the news earlier.

Rofl!..Cc’ers are so flippin’ funny. I just love the nonstop sarcasm that bounces around this site…
