A possible way to find out decisions

Well i am not sure about this but i can not stand the waiting..So here it goes..A few days ago i was accepted in UChiago. The decisions came out the night 25 to 26(i live in Europe)In 26 thursday i received a fat envelope with much info inside etc.The funny thng is that the envelope wrote that it was mailed from uchicago on the 24th!!!with a company called ups..so here is the thing,if stanf releases decisions tomorrow they may perhaps have already send the envelopes with a courier!i know that there are many "if" etc but what if we can call the company and ask them if here is a package from california towards our homes?this coul work for internationals and perhaps for us citizens as well.is there a way to do it online?or how?plz help!
thanks everybody and lets hope that we can find decisions a little earlier!!

Stanford releases through email first and then snail mail after doesn't it? Stop coming up with random ideas and just wait it out :(

it does?i did not know this otherwise i wud not have made this thread.but still do u know if sb can call ups and ask them if there is a package comin(or online)bc i am international and i am not acquainted with courier companies

Actually, since they only mail out acceptance, you can probably just try to track anything sent from their UG Admissions office to your house.

I'm not doing that, though.

It's not worth it.

Would the RD acceptance package most likely be via USPS or UPS?

Oh, and I have to add, this thread is hilarious! We're really bad at waiting! ;)!

USPS.
what's snail mail?

not email

10 char

Well, is there anyway to track things (from Stanford) via USPS?

^I think you would need a code to access Stanford AO's account on USPS to track all the materials that Stanford AO sends out or what Stanford AO chooses to send to you.

AND decisions will come out when they come out. (Hopefully, soon...)

Lol'd

I just can't get over what someone said -- Stanz was sending out all RD acceptance packages at the same time (that is to EA, Early Approved, RD)......haha, this is probably just a false statement.....:)

Question. Does Stanford send out their mailed decisions the same day as the e-mail decisions so that you find out the decision first by email but get the mailed decision soon after? Because if Stanford did really intend on sending out the emails on friday but just couldn't get to it for some reason but did somehow did manage to send out the mailed decisions before the emails because they thought they wouldn't have any problems sending the emails out later in the day at 5 pm, could there be a chance that you could find out on monday by mail before the emails are sent? This is all assuming that they really did intend to release emails on friday which we don't know.

^^ well when I got my RD packet it said that they wanted to take the time to re-congratulate all the SCEA admits before they send the RD packets

^^ Good point.

^^^ only the accepted students get a decision packet mailed to them, right?

so if we get nothing in the mail on monday, either you were rejected... or it's coming out on tuesday.

^ Or it could actually be sent out after April 1st.

^No then the really nervous of Stanford applicants would start dying from heart attacks one by one, triggering a massive outcry that Stanford is abusing its applicants, eliminating them one by one to make their decision choices easier ...

After all, making a class out of 30,000 people is quite epic. :)

^ Or Wednesday.

Stanford doesn't send out rejection letter copies by snail mail?

nope. they want to be environmentally friendly. plus sending out 2400 letters is so much easier than 24000.
