I am currently a freshman at a four-year college with a 3.67 GPA – projected to go up (3.7-3.8) after this semester. I am however planning on transferring to a much rigorous institution where according to the internet also has a lot of deflation:/ I really like the college I plan on transferring to and I am not happy at my current one. Should I just stay miserable and stay getting good grades or transfer and take my chances. I am also pre-med btw. I also want to study abroad for which that school that I plan on transferring to has great study abroad programs. Is transferring dumb? Am I making a mistake? Also when should a pre-med do study abroad if possible?
Would you regret transferring if it meant getting lower grades?
Ultimately most premeds don’t make it into med school so if you’re unhappy at your current school and found an affordable transfer school then I’d say go for it.

life is too short- go be happy.
most people get better grades where they are happy, too.
