Hey guys, I realize this may be a very small thread, but I have been having bad anxiety about the admissions process and I'd like to take a roll call on who has applied to Grinnell (ED or RD), just to meet others who share my pain D:

So why are you applying, what's the appeal? Do you have a backup plan? What are you doing until December 15th (or, you know, whenever the RD decisions are released)? What will you do if you get accepted? How's your senior year treating you? Let's hear it.

Haha, certainly I'm not the only one who has sent an application (I did EDI)...Today my counselor approached me in order to tell me that Grinnell contacted her about my midterm grades, which I took as a good sign, although it probably doesn't mean much. Idk I'm taking any good I can get at the moment. Luckily those grades were consistent with those of my junior year...But it's kind of a crap shoot.

Hollylove, yeah i do think i am pretty crazy for applying for schools in the midwest, especially because i'm FROM the midwest. you'd think i'd want to get out, but nope. i'm only going more rural :)

Yeah everyone thinks I'm pretty out there for applying to the Midwest. I remember looking at the temperature a few days ago, 17 with freezing rain... sometimes I think i'm crazy cause even today I was pretty cold and it's like mid-50s. Even my counselor kinda stared at me when he saw the envelope stamped for Iowa!

17 degrees with freezing rain was bad, but today, not any better, started out in the low 40's and dropped to -1 with a windchill around -25 or -30.
Well, that's for northern Iowa, might be a little different down in Grinell.
