My question is a follows:
In my 10th grade year I took a course at my high school titled: Honors English 10A and B
I received a D the second semester.
To make up for it, I took the second semester again during the summer.
This time the course was called: English 10B (not “honors” this time).
I understand that the UC system does not recognize 10th grade English as a certified ‘honors’ course.
Which is why I wondered if the second time I took the English course completely erases the first time
since the UC system doesn’t recognize the first course I took as truly ‘honors’, but my high school does title it ‘honors’.
Meaning the ‘D’ would not be taken to account when calculating my gpa?

As long as the curriculum is similar, you should be fine.
