a question about ABET

my school, Penn State, just started Biomed Eng. this 02.

I'll be graduating this 10 -11. the school says they will start the accredition process this 08, and will end in 09. So, by the time i gradute My school maybe finally be accredited. but there is a slight chance for the school to be not accredited.

Is it a problem if the Biomed Eng. isn't accredited, do the employers look for that?

Look at this previous thread.

Biomedical engineering is not subject to state licensure, and so ABET accreditation is not particularly important to most BMEs or BME employers. A number of top BME programs are not ABET-accredited. However, an ABET degree may be helpful if you want the option to transition into a more traditional engineering discipline, like ME or ChE.
