A question about NFA [not formally admitted] majors..

I need to prove that I am an MIS major in order to receive money for a technology scholarship, but it just says "Business NFA" next to my major. Also, even though they clearly have had me as an MIS major since I applied in August (and I confirmed at orientation), it says "Undeclared" next to my name in the student directory. This is making the scholarship committee become suspicious of me especially since my first semester only has one technology-related course.

Is there anywhere I can go on blackboard that will show my real major?

Try going to Registrar Office and see if they can give you a Letter of Enrollment that specifies what you need. If it is an official letter from the office then would probably suffice.

I guess that’s what I’ll have to do sometime next month because I’ll be in the Bahamas until right before class starts. Darn… It’s pretty ridiculous that it doesn’t show up anywhere on secure apps.

Or a letter from your faculty adviser or dean. That may also help. Anyway, I’m sure this has been dealt with before and the faculty will know how to address the issue.

You will need something written as Blackboard will say not formally admitted until you meet the requirements for admission to a limited access major. You just need to call and get a letter of explanation. I would not wait. Get an email out to your adviser.
