A question about the demographics section in common app

Hello everyone! I have a question about the demographics section in common app because I’m confused about what race I belong to. Basically, I believe I’m Asian and currently live in Asia. Although my grandfather is Asian, he has European ancestry, because one of his ancestors (his grandmother) was European white and moved to Asia. This may sound complicated and I’m really confused about this. My grandfather and my mother may have more Asian features, but they are both blonde. I think I also have more Asian features, but my skin is more like white. The race I chose in the common app is “Asian”, but should I also choose the option “White”? Am I considered a mixed race?

Are you a non-US citizen applying as an international student? If yes, it doesn’t matter what you pick as you’ll simply be in the “international” category. As far as I know, colleges consider country/region but not race/ethnicity for international admissions.

If you’re applying as a domestic applicant then you may simply want to not answer this question because neither “Asian” nor “White” will help you.
