A question about the essay section

In the essay section, the 4th option lets applicants choose a topic of their own. The instructions specifically say that the applicant should indicate which topic they're going to use.

1) If I plan on using a topic of my own choice, how do I indicate it? Do I write my own essay question above my essay before submission? There are no radio buttons or check boxes which I can use to indicate it...

2) Also, is an essay title required?

3) Lastly, is it OK to go over the word limit by 36 words?

Just copy and paste your essay into the box. You don’t need to write your prompt or anything, Adcoms are pretty smart people, I think they’ll figure it out.

No.

Or 100+, like mine was. Don’t worry.

aha my essay was 200 words over…
my friends was 3 pages.
we both got accepted lol
