I am still so excited.. I've been F5 the decision page for thousands of times.
Have you guys received an email for admission? I know a mail's going to arrive, but as I am an international student, it would probably take a while before I get the mail.
I know it sounds ridiculous, but am I absolutely in if the decision page tells me so? I would freak out if I find out later that the adcom made a mistake and the decision page gave me the wrong decision. (I really don't trust penn portal that much lol)
As I am going to withdraw my applications to other schools, I have to make sure that I got in. Is the decision page enough and never wrong?

Your pennportal doesn't lie.

It's still good practice to not withdraw your apps until you get the paper copy of your acceptance letter in the mail. They don't need you to withdraw your applications immediately, you can wait a few days until you get your letter in the mail; I know I'm not erasing all that hard work until I know for sure! I'd be pretty confident Penn wouldn't mess this up though. Then again...

It might be illegal..

do they send it by letter or express?

ok this might be a really stupid question but :how do u withdraw acceptances to other schools??

definitely not a stupid question... i'd also love to hear the answer if anybody knows

I think you send a small letter or something. Ask your guidance counselor.

interestingly enough one of my friends applied to Yale and his online decision said accept whereas his mailed letter said deferred. He called the admissions office and they confirmed that he was deferred, but sent him a Yale sweatshirt to make him feel better.

....he eventually got in later in the year.

^ That's scary! please don't do that to us... Can I call to confirm? cuz it might take quite a while for the package to arrive my country...

That's effing SICK.
