OK ... 9 days left. Can you give all us ED hopefuls an update on how the Adcoms are doing with the 10,000 ED apps they received (OK, so im exaggerating ... a little). Are they are on target for the emails to go out on 12/15. Any info you can share would be appreciated.

It is a bit scary what a personality I have become on these CC boards -- I actually have threads addressed to me personally, people offering to hug me, and even people being nasty towards me. I don't know if I should feel honored or I should disappear?

As far as wannagetin's post -- all I can let you know is that ED decisions will go out on December 15th. The adcoms are making progress and will be done in 9 days, no need to worry about that.

Otherwise, not much I can tell about quality, acceptance rates, etc...those decisions will be rendered over the next week and a half.

Hope that helps -- though I know it will for most of you just cause more stress.

Do the adcoms make the admit/defer/deny decision? Is there some kind of committee that makes the decisions? I know. It's out of my hands and I should just relax. But I can't. If a hug would help, i'll be on the next plane to Baltimore. :)

ANSWER: Yes

"Do the adcoms make the admit/defer/deny decision? Is there some kind of committee that makes the decisions?"

ANSWER: Yes

Decisions are made both by the adcoms and by the admissions committee. No application is read just by one person.

Just for future reference wannagetin, if you want to speak to someone directly, you can just use the "Send Private Message" feature.
