How many hours of TV do you guys watch on a school night, and how long in hours do you spend studying?!

TV depended on the day-anywhere from .5-2hr/weekday and 3-4+ on weekends-but I also spent a lot of time online doing random stuff (2 hours min/day). I had straight As last 3 years of HS and took straight AP/IB for the last two years. My school has tremendous grade inflation; I'd only cram a few nights a semester with friends for big history and english tests; most of my studying (and homework doing) happened during the previous class or when I got to school a bit earlier.

i didnt sleep in high school that's how hardcore i was about academics

It depends on the night. Most nights I get about 1-2 hours, but if there's a must-see show on (24, CSI, Without a Trace, House), I end up watching up to 3 hours, sometimes more if I stay up for the Daily Show.

But it's surfing the net, IMing, doing random stuff that has nothing to do with anything - that really takes up my time. I can do that for hours and get nothing done.

I only study the night before tests, and even then it's only about an hour per test.

I had my 28-quarter straight-A streak broken this year, but the B was in AP Art and it was in the 4th quarter (and it was an 89)

Do you count watching TV while I study/write essays/do homework?

I spend about about 20 minutes to two hours a night doing homework (the long nights were almost always essay nights for AP English, short nights were the norm)...I manage my time well. I get a lot of homework done at school (during other classes/ in the morning before homeroom starts.

I get some work done while watching tv - memorizing, math hw, multi-choice. during the school year, I generally watch sitcoms only because they're easy to follow and enjoyable even if you're not constantly looking at the screen. I get about 2 hours of tv time in half-hour breaks (during which I do hw too)
I waste 2 or more hours online, again in small clips of time because I feel guilty after a while that I'm not doing anything useful.
I get home by 5 and go to bed at 1 or so, so that's 4+ hours of leisure/semi-leisure time, 4+ hours of serious studying.
This is all before December break, after that, mid-terms are coming up and then APs loom closer and closer....so I definitely cut down on the tv/online time after that. 2 weeks AP exams it's about 8 hours of straight studying everyday.
After APs are done...I get a month of almost literally no homework.

I can't do good work in tiny chunks of time (like the 10 minutes I have in homeroom). I like to go home with the satisfying feeling that I have a gigantic block of time that I can divide up in whatever way I want. I take power naps during the free time during school.

i had 3 APs last year and an honors course

lots of TV (3-5 hours), but lots of procrasinating.

When I get home from school, I usually watch a show to relax and then do my homework. After homework and piano, I watch another show, like Alias or Veronica Mars (one of those weekly kinda shows).

But my main distraction is internet. I spend countless hours on it.

well i took three APs last year and got 6 As and one B+. ironically got a B+ in a regular class.
Anyways i really never studied and screwed up the first two quarter getting Bs in some subjects and mostly B+s. But after second quarter i realized that i should work and started working and pulled all my grades up.
Anyways I never quite studied but I did one thing for sure. For chemistry or history I always read the textbook. I think that was what helped me although i did watch TV and procrastinate.

A half hour of TV or so each day during school days.

And probably around 4 hours of studying each day.

I'm not big on TV, I usually spend my free time doing other stuff. Sports take up a lot of time, so I maybe watch anywhere from zero to an hour of TV a day. But if I were to watch TV instead of do other stuff I could probably do 4-5 hours a night.

I never watch T.V. I probably watch about three movies a week. I spend about an hour, hour and half on the computer a day, it's my indulgence. I probably work on actual schoolwork for about 3 hours (not consistently) a night. I take a hard courseload and have a 3.9 u/w, but I had a couple of classes with little work last year.

6 ap's (bio was double pd). not much tv, but alot of time spent doing random things online.

ECs take up a lot of time (can we say play rehearsals!) and I waste about 2 hours doing random things or reading, but I always get my Jeopardy fix every night! I would guess I spend 1 1/2 to 2 hours doing homework.

8 APs/IBs. My time each day: barely any TV at all, ~1 hour of reading, ~1 hour of studying, ~3-4 hours of homework, and the rest for ECs.

I've taken all honors and APs so far in school, and I usually spend 1-2 hours on games/TV every day. But I'm losing interest in that stuff pretty fast now, I'll probably be outside more often. I don't study much, usually just a bit before tests and quizzes. I should probably do that more often too.

Who here watches Andy Milonakis?

I can say that I never actually just sat down and studied....
I usually did while watching t.v. doing other things..... humm...however one in a while I just had to just turn off everthing and cram/study ....
I know sounds kinda bad .... but it worked never failed a class , got pertty much all A's on AP's .... though I didnt pass the AP' test !!?

I usually watch T.V. or at least have it on when I study or do homework...I've never really just sat down at my desk and studied (I can't sit at my desk, since there's stuff piled on it and the chair), but I always sit on my bed and just do a combination of eatching T.V. and doing homework.

I watch maximum of hour of tv during school days and I don't set that time on purpose. But I do more of random stuffs like IMing, CCing, and etc so I spend more time on it.

I usually study/do homework for 3-4 hours, and I often do it after 8pm for some reason, and I've noticed 8-11 is the best time for me to study! But if I've underestimated the amount of homework, then I'm in hell for that night...

I don't count how many hours I watch a week, I just have a few must-watch shows, and catch whatever I can/feel like in my free time. It usually averages out to around 1-2 hours of TV a day and 3-4 hours of homework.
