Hi! Do your RA's check your rooms? I have a little lizard that I'd hate to leave behind. She lives in a fish tank, doesn't smell, doesn't make noise, and can't escape because she has no sticky-feet. Do you think I could get away with having her? Thanks!

If they have, I’ve never heard about it. And I’m pretty sure I have some stuff I’m not supposed to have. Other people in my dorms have stuff they aren’t supposed to. Just make sure to bring her home over breaks, and make sure you check with your roommate first! You don’t want to start off the first day on bad ground because you didn’t check with them.

Thank you for replying! And definitely! I’m going to wait out the first week to see how my RA is and to see if my roommate is okay with me having her. If she’s any trouble to anyone, I won’t bring her.

Time always finds its way to get you somehow. If you’re caught, you will be in some serious trouble. I wouldn’t risk it. Just leave it behind like you’re supposed to. Leave your pet at home if you consider yourself a responsible adult.

Some RA’s flat out say that they don’t care, so I’ll see what they say the first week. If they don’t say anything, I’ll ask. I won’t bring her if they say no; that’s not fair to my gecko.
