A question from an old man

Hello to everyone :)

I saw a thread by another user asking if someone who's taken a few years' break still has a good chance at getting into a decent college. My case is similar - I am 22 year-old (which is almost unbearably old, I know) and I have already taken my TOEFL (Internet version: 118/120) and SAT (2120/2400) examinations , also a SAT: Literature (results yet uknown).

I have held a few jobs in the meantime, as a translator and interpreter from/to English, and now a journalist (I also have gone a year or two without working at all...).

My question is basically the same as the other user's - Do I have a fair chance somewhere?
(I've heard, for example, that recommendations from teachers who almost haven't seen me for four years might not have the value of ones written by people who've taught me until recently)

Any answer would be much appreciated. Thank you in advance :)

Hi stephen_D.. nice to see someone like me here :) welcome aboard

so where are you from?

Hello. I'm a Bulgarian :)

80% of American colleges will take anyone with your stats who can afford them.

I'd make that 95% :)
