a question on "favorites" answers..

so a few people mentioned they wrote 50 words.. but what's the general consesus for length? Did you just write the title or an explanation too?

gotta love napoleon dynamite...so many quotes..."TINA EAT YOUR HAM" haha

I didn't explain at all. I don't think it's necessary unless it's something really obscure that they won't understand.

i didn't give any explanations, either

thanks guys!

On behalf of the others: you're welcome! :)

If you use the online princeton supp (on common app website), you can only write a few words (about 20 characters, I think). So I think they don't expect you to give any explanations.

Did anyone put an object as their favorite source of inspiration - rather than grandparent, mother, relative who survived the Holocaust, etc.

No...but now that you mention it...my answer sounds so cliche! Did everybody put a grandparent? lol

I said my father :/

Yea so we're all cliche =/ lol

i put something wicked cool as my source of inspiration. nothing cliche

Care to give us a sneak-peep Mr. Oh-So-Secretive?

it has something to do with "steam"

If you put an iron I'd laugh my heart out! Okay, umm: your mom's ancient kettle?

lol wow good guess I'd never think of that...
how about a train-type thing, steam-engine?

i ain't telling 'till i get in (or don't) then I will reveal to you all my megagenius/celebrity status (or stupidity/horrible dejecteness)

[before you all say: don't have that attitude! you'll be setting yourself up for disappointment! rejection does not = dejection!...I was exaggerating)

lol, I actually tell people never to tell me that I'll get in. I hate setting myself up for disappointment, so I aim low. But then I consider myself an optimist. Maybe I'm lying to myself.

ok, my parents are really annoying because they keep acting like i'm going to get in and they've told other people and they keep acting like i'm going to in but i'm like no, sorry.

And i said, oh, I find out around december 15th, and they're all:
"ok by then we'll have your party."

it makes me want to SCREAM.

Note: I just hit 240 posts. A perfect PSAT score.

Yeah, could be. lol How about his favorite chemistry lab experiment?
