A question regarding transferring to CSU w/ incomplete general ed

Hello,

I’m a prospective transfer student at Las Positas College in Business Administration. I’ll be applying to Cal Poly Slo and CSU Long Beach and I was wondering if I have a chance of getting accepted into both of them without taking the two required general ed classes (Speech and 2 History classes )? I have all the other GE’s but those two. I also have a 4.0 GPA and I will have finished all of the prereqs for these 2 schools before the end of this semester. I’m applying to a bunch of UCs and thus I’m prioritizing finishing the GEs for the UCs over CSUs. Any thoughts?

Not having the “Golden Four” GE requirements completed by Spring 2018 will probably take out of the running for the CSU’s.

From CSU website:::
CSU general education requirements (“Golden Four”) are designated as the following:
-Oral Communication
-Written Communication
-Critical Thinking
-Mathematics/Quantitative Reasoning

Fall Admission: Transfer applicants applying for the Fall term must complete the Golden Four courses no later than the end of the Spring term with grades of C- or higher.

if you don’t have the REQUIRED classes, you will be rejected. They won’t even get to your GPA. it is that simple.
