A question...

Some colleges say "We consider only your highest SAT score...but we don't score choice."

Why do some colleges want to see all of your scores if they only even consider the highest one?

(This makes me worry because my score went from a 2070 to a 2360, and I'm afraid my first score will look bad)

That’s a good question.

silverturtle,

So do you think that these colleges DO look at all of an applicant’s scores?

The schools that request all scores but claim to only consider the highest probably glance at the number of times that the test was taken. In extreme cases (i.e., those that indicate obsession), the schools likely do not follow their stated policy. There’s nothing to worry about in your case, though.

It still seems fishy that they want to see all of an applicant’s scores just to see the number of times the applicant took the test…but I hope that is the one and only reason. :)

Your 2360 will be counted and your 2070 will not be held against you. Not using score choice is actually to your advantage, seeing as colleges superscore. In fact, its to their advantage too since they can say their students have a higher average, meanwhile everyone’s scores are superscored.

Assuming that “you” refers to the OP, I doubt that he or she would benefit from superscoring.
